Sarah and Josh’s story began in 2018 at Texas A&M University. While both in their 3rd year of undergraduate, they attended a birthday party and were introduced by their respective college roommates, who were dating at the time. That night, sparks flew, as Josh played Sarah’s favorite song on keyboard, and it was truly love at first sight. Despite the undeniable connection, neither Josh nor Sarah expected that one inconspicuous night to lead to something so lasting.

What followed was four years of long-distance love, as Sarah pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian at the University of Minnesota, while Josh stayed in Texas pursuing his career in Chemical Engineering. It wasn’t always easy, but they always knew they wanted to make it work. Those four years were woven with late-night FaceTime calls, weeklong visits, and summers in Texas, keeping them connected despite the miles. Their bond only grew stronger with time, and they quickly learned the distance wasn’t a barrier, but a testament to their commitment.

Throughout their relationship, they discovered so many things they love doing together. Some of their favorite moments are spent cooking fun recipes, especially with the fresh fish they catch. For Sarah and Josh, there’s nothing like bonding over a good meal and the joy of creating something together. Their free time is spent with family, friends, or in the great outdoors, whether that includes fishing, hunting or hiking on a trail. Those quiet moments in nature are when they feel closest.

The next chapter of their story took place in May 2024, during an unforgettable trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Surrounded by family and friends, Josh asked Sarah to marry him in one of the most beautiful places on earth. It was a moment to be cherished forever, and a promise to continue building a life full of love, adventure, and shared experiences.
